This vintage of Barbera is a special treasure here at Becker Vineyards. An Italian varietal that has found a home right here in the Texas Hill Country with the beautiful soil and tenacious spirit of Drew Tallent and creative mind of Jon Leahy, our winemaker, to deliver the very best expression of this fruit.  A small amount of our Estate Petite Sirah was also blended into this Barbera.

Fragrant red and dark fruits, dried herbs, and subtle florals greet you, opening to blackberry and brown sugar. Aging in predominantly neutral American oak barrels lends notes of tobacco, and herbal teas, complementing red plum and bing cherries. 

Aromatics: Red plum, blackberry, lilacs, toasted brown sugar, cocoa, white pepper, and a subtle hint of dill and sandalwood.

On the Palate: Red cherries, saskatoon berries, goji berries, red currant, white pepper, herbal tea, silky tannins

Decant 30 minutes

Serve in glassware for medium-bodied, aromatic wines, 58-65ºF
