Welcome to Unita Blends, an offering from the Becker Vineyards and Francis Ford Coppola Winery collaboration.

Our favorite day of any week is when an old friend stops by, pours a glass of wine and starts the conversation with “I have this idea…” So, do yourself a favor and uncork this wine, pour a glass and see what dreams may come. We are sure inspiration as bold and bright as this wine will follow.

An equal blend from the rolling hills of Sonoma County and big plains of Texas, this wine is what happens when friends work together. Clove and nutmeg spices open to vanilla and pepper, followed by plum and black currant…this wine continues to open, offering a wonderful floral and spice component perfume, finishing with lingering red fruit and subtle hints of chocolate and coffee. Here we have a beautiful union between West Coast and South West.

Aromatics: Rich chocolate coffee, earthy hints and Herbs de Provence

On the Palate: Coffee with hints of chocolate, followed by dried raspberry, ripe plums, currant and brown spice, full tannins

The collaboration: 1/2 of the grapes are from Francis Ford Coppola (California); and 1/2 of the grapes are from Becker Vineyards (Texas). *** In Francis Ford Coppola's (California) half: Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. *** And for Becker Vineyards (Texas) half: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, Lahey Vineyards (Brownfield, TX); 32% Merlot, Lahey Vineyards (Brownfield, TX) and 10% Merlot, Amanecer Vineyards (Sundown, TX); and 8% Cabernet Franc, Bingham Family Vineyards (Meadow, TX).

When I first got into wines nearly 20 years ago, there's wasn't a Coppola I didn't like. Recently, after moving back to Texas about three years ago, I haven't tasted a Becker I didn't like. So, as you can imagine, this surprising find was a dream come true. And it certainly does not disappoint! I look forward to visiting Becker Vineyards one day!

Huge Becker and Coppola fan. Bought a case to enjoy over time. Really appreciate the effort in making a collaboration like this happen. Kudos to both wineries for caring enough to create something special for their fans. A true rarity these days.

Such a great collaboration! My husband and I got a bottle in our wine club membership, and we loved it so much we immediately went online and bought more to enjoy in the future. Buy multiple bottles, you're going to want them!

Hadn’t had a Becker wine in many years. This blend is pretty exciting. Would definitely purchase again.

This wine, by our experience and palates, is very middle of the road. It doesn't blow us away nor is it horrible. It's right down the middle. Doesn't compare to the other high quality cabs y'all produce.

I would rate this really as a 6 but that was not a choice. This is a marvelous blend, great nose, color and glycerin. The taste is very smooth, soft and expands as it passes all the taste points in your mouth and throat. Coppola has always made great wines and this is a superb extension to that tradition. Becker and Coppola are rightly proud of this product.
